Abstract

Live load distribution factor is very useful to find out the live-load moments for different bridge girder design when we perform two dimensional analyses. Superstructure of bridge is considering to find out the live load factors, that factors are consider to analyze different kinds of bridge. In this research study live load distribution factors in both interior as well as exterior girders for horizontally curved concrete box girder bridges are considered. The central angles of different sizes are taken to done this analysis. The dimensions and geometry of bridge is taken as standard and real to obtain real, more accurate and practically possible results. Three dimensional modeling analysis is firstly done for straight bridges then the results from this analysis are compared with AASHTO LRFD results. The results from finite element analysis is compared with LLDF obtained from AASHTO LRFD for straight bridges. Again the analysis is done for curved bridges for various central angles, length is kept as same as straight bridges.
