Abstract

Pre-engineered steel buildings are fully fabricated in the factory as per design. Once fabricated, they are shipped to the site in ready-to assemble condition. These components are erected using nut and bolts. This will reduce the constructiontime. The fabrication of the members is carried out in a controlled environment. The present work gives analysis and design of Pre-Engineered Building and its comparison with Conventional building. The design of the structure is carried out in Staad Pro. A building is considered with 60m x 20 m x 8m size situated in Delhi. It was analysed and designed for dead load and live load. The wind load analysis is carried out by IS 875 (Part III).The seismic design was carried out using IS: 1893 (2002). The weight of the members is compared after the design.
