Abstract Many researchers have tried different materials with concrete as a reinforcing material in concrete structural members. In this paper attempt have been made to test bamboo strip in its mechanical properties and find suitability to use bamboo strip as a reinforcing material in concrete structural members. After conducting test on bamboo strips in laboratory very good results obtained. Bamboo strip after getting results in lab seems to have good structural properties.
