Abstract

There has been a growing inclination towards intelligent HVAC systems in various indoor locations such as hospital rooms, patient wards, and reception halls. This report provides a comprehensive literature analysis on the utilisation of HVAC systems inside enclosed indoor environments. Firstly, we will examine the present condition of HVAC systems and prevalent concerns regarding ventilation. Next, we will explain the process of airflow modelling utilising computational fluid dynamics (CFD) within an enclosed setting. Next, we proceed to provide a clear definition of "HVAC systems" and explore into the various issues that occur in relation to their design and execution. Finally, this paper presents different possibilities for optimising HVAC systems and conserving energy.
