Operational Planning and Constraints of Smart Grid Technology: Review

  1. Anuj Kumar

Abstract

An intelligently connected technology known as a "smart grid" makes it possible to fully automate and operate a centralized grid in real time. The integration of electrical vehicles, storage devices, and renewable energy sources, as well as ancillary services, was all supported by this self-healing grid. Advanced metering infrastructure, such as smart substations, superconducting cables, intelligent integrated communication technologies, etc., are added to this technology. This paper provides a thorough analysis of the smart grid's design, attributes, and technological advancements. It also discusses the practical need of creating this technology for the distributed power generation and Indian Power System Network.
