Abstract

Due to the increasing price of electricity, it is very critical to accomplish an optimal decrease in active (real) losses throughout power transmission. The lowering of these failures is essential so because values of leakage losses in coastal lines are quite strong and result in significant transverse active losses. Load unbalancing is the biggest problem of the electricity network and SVC is stronger able to correct the malfunction of the machinery due to faults and to retain an accurate reactive power balance in the device. In this work, the decrease of active power losses via the optimal distribution of reactive power and the optimization techniques of voltages via the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) method was evaluated. This work was carried out using Matlab, and MATPOWER was utilized as a load flow solution engine. The suggested work method delivers the greatest precision to avoid imbalanced of loads contrasted to existing work.
