Abstract

Nanotechnology is a rapidly advancing field that has gained significant attention in recent years. It involves the manipulation of matter at an atomic or molecular scale, and its applications are vast and diverse. One area where nanotechnology has shown immense potential and importance is in the field of mechanical engineering. Mechanical engineering is a discipline that deals with the design, production, and operation of machinery, structures, and systems. It has played a crucial role in shaping the modern world, from the development of steam engines during the industrial revolution to the production of advanced automobiles and aircraft today. With the help of nanotechnology, mechanical engineering is taking another leap forward, unlocking new possibilities and pushing the boundaries of what is possible. In the field of mechanical engineering, nanotechnology has become an essential tool. Significant progress in the fields of   Durability and Performance improvement, nano 3D printing, Sensors and actuators development and reduce energy consumption in mechanical engineering system performance have resulted from its contributions. These advancements have benefited society and the environment in addition to increasing mechanical engineering's effectiveness and functionality. In mechanical engineering, nanotechnology has also completely changed the manufacturing process. Micro and nano-electromechanical systems (MEMS and NEMS) are the result of the production of smaller and more complex components made possible by the precision and control provided by nanotechnology. New opportunities in the domains of actuators, sensors, and medical devices have been made possible by these systems
