Nanotechnology: Applications in Regenerative Medicine
Abstract
Nanotechnology presently has many uses in practically every one of the fields. The introduction of nanomedicine has benefitted many research areas in pharmaceutical industries. The usage of nanoparticles in drugs has shown great results that the other drugs did not. In the development of novel medicine, nanotechnology is playing an important role. It is because few medications cannot be used due to complications such as its toxicity, this can be replaced by a nanomedicine. Nanomedicine which contains nanoparticles, has higher surface to volume ratio (aspect ratio). Nanomedicine has shown its effectiveness in both diagnostics and therapeutics. In this review article the use of nanomedicine as an effective regenerative medicine will be discussed. Tissue engineering-mimic of the natural tissues in our body, cellular therapies, artificial organ transplant will also be discussed. Few of the application s of tissue engineering is also mentioned. Keywords
