Abstract

The Automobile manufacturing sector’s fast-paced advancement has raised concerns regarding energy conservation and reduction of emissions. To address this, electric vehicles have become a crucial solution, with lithium batteries as a core component. This paper presents the designing a test system for measuring the parameters of lithium battery, with the STM32F411RE micro controller as the crucial element. In contrast to the domestic market, the parameter detecting system for lithium-ion batteries has a longer history. Numerous functionalities of the parameter test module for lithium-ion batteries have been extensively researched and developed by international universities and research groups. This research has paid close attention to the computation of voltage and current among other functions. The system includes a temperature sensing device, voltage monitoring subsystem, current sensor system, buzzer alarm mechanism, and display system. The work proposed discusses a system architecture design in both the aspects of hardware and software. The system employs voltage and current sensors for real-time detection of current and voltage of the lithium battery in electric vehicles. Furthermore, an LCD display module helps in displaying the data. The user is alerted using a alarm module when the parameters being measured go beyond the optimum values. Based on results obtained from experiments, this system is reliable and can be used to measure the parameters of the lithium-ion battery after making few improvements.
