Abstract

WSNs are popular due to advancement of technology in field sensors and wireless communication network sub sequence of their miniaturization. It has number of applications for the remote and hazardous environment where lifetime of a sensing unit and energy consumption are main factors. As nodes are battery operated, optimization of energy for better and maximum lifetime is the main issue. This paper has proposed the clustering based hierarchical type of routing for information gathering by using WSN; the same was simulated using MATLAB. The resulting parameters in the simulation are effect of number of clusters on energy level and residual energy after number of rounds. Total number of nodes 250 and size of network 300 m*300 m; are considered for simulation. Test of non-hierarchical, 1st and 2nd level of clustering were performed. The results showed better life time of nodes with respect to rounds of simulations had been designed to evaluate performance of WSN in terms of energy. Cite this Article:Nibandhe R, Krishna Naik K.
