Abstract

Why don’t we halt for a minute to think about the climatical change happening around the globe? Increase in temperature, the release of carbon dioxide, let it be whether from the burning of fossil fuels such as oil, coal, deforestation or manufacture of cement. With the increase in population, the growth of industries and change of lifestyle, majorconstruction is taking place everywhere which leads to mass production of cement and is expected to rise to 550-600 Million Tonnes per Annum by the year 2025.Being the primary element of concrete, the Cement, industry is responsible for about 8% of the total CO2 emission in the world.‘ As time has come to improvise, we find’ Carbon cure ‘as one of the’ phenomenal methods which use carbon dioxide as a building material and is injected into the concrete mix. The production of concrete takes place with not only less binder content but also with enhanced performance comprising of compressive strength and durability. This paper will comprise the process of Carbon Cure along with other various methods to reduce the emission of carbon dioxide from cement manufacture industry.
