Basic Guidelines for Preparation of Contingency Plan while Transporting LNG in Indian Roads

Abstract

The objective of this contingency plan guidelines; is to present an emergency response and disaster management plan (ERDMP) which will assist in handling emergency situations arising out of transportation of LNG by road and aid in minimizing the damage due to an accident during road transportation of LNG. This plan presents basic guidelines for the organizational responsibilities, organizational actions, reporting requirements and support resources available to ensure effective and timely management of emergencies. This document shall be read in conjunction with the emergency response and disaster management (ERDMP) plan of the terminal and quantitative risk assessment (QRA) report.
