Abstract

Concrete is one of the material widely used in construction.  Cement based concrete has great properties with high performance, its intrinsic brittleness is a weakness which needs further investigation.  Several researchers in the past have used different materials to overcome this brittleness and over the past few years research has proven that addition of Graphene has improved mechanical properties like higher flexibility, Tensile strength, and Young’s Modulus.  The experimental study is performed to investigate the mechanical properties of concrete with different percentages of Graphene oxide and determine the changes in Compressive strength, Tensile Strength and Flexural Strength.  The study is mainly focused to determine the load carrying capacity of the bubble deck void slabs with Graphene oxide when compared to the load carrying capacity of bubble deck void slab without Graphene oxide.  Few samples have been tested and the results have shown that the mechanical properties of concrete with Graphene oxide have shown an impressive increase in the load carrying capacity under different loading conditions.   Keywords: Graphene oxide, hollow spherical balls, bubble deck, Void slab, Nano concrete  Abstract:Concrete is one of the material widely used in construction. Index Terms: Graphene oxide, hollow spherical balls, bubble deck, Void slab, Nano concrete
