Abstract

To obtain relevant information proficiently, users must thoroughly understand the available resources to get them quickly. Meanwhile, librarians must conduct periodic assessments of users’ complete perception of the resources to provide users with valuable and pertinent information resources. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the current level of user awareness and utilization of information resources using a systematic review approach. The study provides a comprehensive and unbiased summary of existing evidence regarding user perception of information resources. According to the research findings, a substantial amount of study has been devoted to examining the utilization of resources in academic libraries, while other types of libraries have received negligible attention. Additionally, the results demonstrate that many users have awareness and employ information resources to conduct research. It is also disclosed that users are generally satisfied with the information resources provided to them despite the challenges encountered. There exists a need for more research investigations that explicitly delve into how the utilization of diverse information resources influences academic success among users.
