Journal of Information Literacy: A Bibliometric Study (2007–2017)

Abstract

Paper studies ‘Bibliometric’ analysis of the Journal of Information Literacy for eleven years from (2007–2017). A total 140 published research papers were examined and analyzed for authorship pattern, the degree of collaboration, productive authors, Lotka’s law of scientific productivity, Relative Growth Rate (RGR) and Doubling time (Dt.) and geographical distribution of research papers has been done. Inferences have been drawn from the analysis that journal prevalent single authorship patterns with 0.471 degrees of collaborations, in the author productivity the overall average of publication each author is (0.55). The highest RGR was recorded at 1.34 in the year 2008 and Dt 6.93 in the year 2017. The UK as a topmost contributor of the research papers for the Journal of Information Literacy.
