Abstract

Air pollution is a pervasive environmental issue with severe health and environmental consequences. IoT-based monitoring systems are revolutionizing the way we measure and battle air pollution. Leveraging the Internet of Things (IoT) technology, these systems provide real-time data on air pollutant levels, enabling precise assessment of air quality, source identification, and continuous monitoring of air quality trends. In the pursuit of cleaner air and a healthier planet, IoT-based monitoring systems are very important tools for reducing air pollution. The proposed IoT-based air pollution monitoring system is a portable and cost- effective solution for monitoring air quality in real time. The system consists of gas sensors, Arduimp IDE, and Wi-Fi module.  The suggested system is a helpful instrument for gathering data at different altitudes of the atmosphere and from different places due to its unique properties, particularly its drone attachment and portability. The causes of pollution may then be located using this data, which can also be used to monitor changes in air quality over time and create efficient mitigation plans. The suggested system might have a big impact on enhancing air quality and safeguarding public health. The system can help create successful air pollution control laws, educate decision-makers, and increase public awareness of air pollution.
