Abstract

This paper presents a review on the possible advancements & future of electric vehicles. In today's world, most of the vehicles as of now are running on fossil fuels. Fossil fuels are the main driver of global warming and unsustainable. Fossil fuels are non-renewable and contribute to climate change. In addition to this, fossil fuels also pose a threat to the planet by producing harmful toxic gases upon burning into the environment. In-order to combat this problem, EV’s are proposed to be the most Eco friendly and efficient solution possible. Furthermore it is also predicted that the shares & sales of EV’s are expected to exponentially increase in the foreseeable future. Additionally current limitations & prospects of electric vehicles are also dealt with. Pivotal areas such as Battery Technology, Motor Technology, Charging Stations & current status of EV’s have also been discussed. Furthermore, this paper talks about the different types of batteries used in Electric vehicles. In addition to this it also presents a view of the current status of these batteries and gives view on the most optimal battery choice. This paper also deals with the different motor technologies used. It also presents a view on the current status of the charging stations being used. Additionally it also deals with the factors limiting & hampering the implementation of these stations. Burning of fossil fuels has contributed vastly towards global warming, therefore setting a norm for electrical vehicles has become furthermore necessary.
