Identification of Parameters Contributing To The Land Tenancy Security For The Tribal Areas of Jharkhand

Abstract

The issue of land tenancy security among tribal communities in Jharkhand, India, has long been a subject of concern due to historical, socio-economic, and legal complexities. This study aims to delve into the multifaceted aspects of tribal land tenancy security by identifying key parameters that influence it. Through a comprehensive analysis of historical records, legal frameworks, socio-economic conditions, and stakeholder perspectives, this research seeks to provide visions into the challenges faced by tribal communities in securing their land rights.The state of Jharkhand, with its significant tribal population, has witnessed persistent struggles over land ownership and tenancy rights. Historical injustices, coupled with rapid industrialization and urbanization, have exacerbated the vulnerabilities of tribal communities, often leading to dispossession and marginalization. Understanding the dynamics of land tenancy security requires a nuanced examination of various interconnected factors.This study contributes to a comprehensive understanding of the parameters influencing tribal land tenancy security in Jharkhand. By synthesizing historical insights, legal analyses, socio-economic assessments, and stakeholder perspectives, it provides valuable insights for policymakers, practitioners, and scholars working towards equitable land governance and sustainable development in tribal areas. Ultimately, the findings of this study aim to inform evidence-based interventions and policy reforms that promote the land rights and livelihoods of tribal communities in Jharkhand.
