E-Commerce’s Impact on Employment and International Markets

Abstract

The developed countries harvest their gains through electronic-commerce (E-commerce) in very short run, whereas the developing nations will be benefited only in the long run, due to lack of technology and information technology (IT) infrastructure. E-commerce has great impact on the international trade and the volume of trade is also being increased along with the emergence of e-commerce. It has both the positive and negative impact on the employment, i.e., the employments in e-commerce companies are increased and which in turn reduces the normal employment in trading sector and it also correlates the impact of e-commerce on the change in salary, new job opportunities and the business. E-commerce helps to enhance the relationship between the industries and the third parties. E-commerce has bought down the communication cost and cost incurred for collecting and processing of information.
