Abstract

Many individuals now rely on search engines as a regular part of their daily routines. Almost everyone starts their search for information on the Internet there. It is a search tool for information on the Internet. No matter whether we need comprehensive information or are looking for the nearest supermarket, nothing works without search engines. They show us the way through the impenetrable jungle of the Internet. Some search engines belong to the dark web and secretly offer information and products. Every day, more than 5.5 billion search queries are made on Google alone, waiting for a reliable answer. We ask the search engines for help with both written searches and voice searches. There is a lot of technical effort behind it, a mountain of algorithms, artificial intelligence and even more crawlers so that we have the right answers on the display in a matter of seconds. Special search engines focus on the content and only search on very specific pages on the Internet. For example, you can use it to find out about news from the region and current news or search for telephone numbers, hotels, videos, pictures or books. This study systematically introduces the methodologies of specialized search engines and provides a comprehensive overview of specialized search engines across various fields of expertise. The focus of this overview is on web search engine providers who are increasingly integrating specialized searches into their offerings.
