Abstract

Social media platforms have been becoming more powerful tools for social justice movements and advocacy within the field of social work. This review work explores the multifaceted ways in which social media contributes to advancing social justice causes, developing community engagement, and amplifying the voices of marginalized populations. It examines the challenges and opportunities presented by these platforms, including ethical considerations and the potential for transformative change. This study provides a comprehensive analysis of the evolving role of social media in the field of social work practice education, and advocacy as a perspective on interdisciplinary research.
