Abstract: The present work is aimed at the development and characterization of orodispersible tablet using novel natural super disintegrant, a polysaccharide isolated from Cassia tora seeds. Metformin hydrochloride (HCL) tablets were prepared separately using different concentration (2%, 5%, 7.5%) of isolated Cassia tora seed, a natural polysaccharide and croscarmellose sodium (synthetic) as super disintegrant by direct compression method.
