Natural Polyamine-capped Silver Nanoparticles used as a Decontaminant in Plant Tissue CultureBy Saswati Saha, Bhaskar Gupta, Kamala Gupta, Mahua Ghosh Chaudhuri
Abstract: Silver nanomaterials have been extensively practiced as an antimicrobial agent in water treatment, burnt treatment, wound dressings, etc. But the use of nanosilver as a decontaminant in plant tissue system has not yet been a popular practice in the field of agronomy. However, practically there are scanty or no reports on the use of nanosilver as a decontaminant in plant tissue culture methods. In the present work, different types of …

MYCOSYNTHESIS OF SILVER NANOPARTICLES AND INVESTIGATION OF THEIR ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITYBy Krishnendu Acharya, Dipankar Chattopadhyay, Srimanta Patra, Joy Sarkar, Saswati Saha
Abstract: The silver nanoparticles were formed in contact with the cell free filtrate of Alternaria alternata. The nanoparticles were characterised by means of UV-Vis spectrophotometer, Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), Energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX), X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Fourier Transform Infra-red Spectroscopy (FTIR). The synthesized silver nanoparticles showed an absorbance maximum at 420 nm in the visible range. Transmission electron microgram and particle size distribution curve showed the formation …
