Abstract: The behavior of foundations when rested upon various types of soil such as loose sand, medium dense sand, dense sand, silty sand and sand and gravel is studied in this project. The effect of soil-structure interaction is also considered during the modelling. The foundation was considered a square type isolated footing with varying vertical loads.
