Structures and sensors of Polymer Optical Fibers for Last Mile NetworksBy Ankur Singhal, Vinay Bhatia, Tarun Singhal, Promila Singhal, Ishta Rani, Himanshu Sharma, Anil Garg
Abstract: Originating from distinct concepts for transferring information, sensing, or lighting efficiency, fiber characteristics vary greatly throughout their range. A substantial bandwidth-length product with acceptable attenuation characteristics is required for effective transfer of information. Since sensor fibers are typically used over short distances having considerably lower attenuation prerequisites. This paper presents polymer optical fiber (POFs) structures that are used as sensors over conventional fiber optics. An even broader spectrum of optical characteristics …

Polymer-coated Composites: Enhancing Performance in Single Electron TransistorsBy Tarun Singhal, Ishta Rani, Vinay Bhatia, Ankur Singhal, Preeti Bansal, Promila Singhal, Sukhdeep Kaur
Abstract: The single electron transistors (SETs) have potential for ultra-low power operation and quantum coherence, and due to this it guarantees for next-generation electronics devices and quantum computing. SETs have the ability to control movement of a single electron and this unique ability allows significant advancement in the energy efficiency and device miniaturization. There are some obstacles that need to be overcome to achieve reliable and effective operation, particularly for room …
