Abstract: Hard water poses a serious threat to human health and industrial operations. The pervasiveness of water hardness, characterized by elevated concentrations of calcium and magnesium ions, originates from seepage and runoff from soils, as well as polyvalent metallic ions from sedimentary rocks.
