    Prevalence of Multidrug-Resistant Enterobacteriaceae Causing Urinary Tract Infection

    Abstract: Urinary tract infections are one of the most common causes of hospital admission, high morbidity and mortality. The most common cause of urinary tract infection is Gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Proteus spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter spp., Klebsiella spp., Enterobacter spp., Citrobacter spp. and Gram-positive bacteria such as Enterococcus spp., Staphylococcus aureus and Coagulase-negative Staphylococci.
