Abstract: β-cyfluthrin, member of synthetic pyrethroid pesticide Type II is broadly used multipurpose insecticide. Widespread and indiscriminate use of β-cyfluthrin leads to environmental contamination and toxicity towards nontarget mammalian systems. The present study was undertaken to examine toxic manifestation of β-cyfluthrin in hepatic tissue of Swiss albino mice and also evaluate possible mitigative potential of pomegranate juice (PJ) in combating pesticide induced hepato-toxicity.
