Performance of Cr3C2-25(Ni-20Cr) and Ni-20Cr Coatings on T22 Boiler Tube Steel in Simulated Boiler EnvironmentBy khushdeep goyal
Abstract: Corrosion of metals is a dangerous process, due to which there is loss of metal by the attack of corrosive agents. The high temperature corrosion causes fast material degradation which results in failure of components. Boiler tubes in the thermal power plants are subjected to corrosion due to high temperatures. Thermal spray coatings have been used to reduce the corrosion of boiler tubes. In this research paper an attempt has …

Performance of Ni3Al and TiO2 Coatings on T91 Boiler Tube Steel in Simulated Boiler Environment at 900°CBy khushdeep goyal
Abstract: Boiler steel tube corrosion in coal fired boiler is main subject during design and operation of thermal power plant and it leads to both direct and indirect loss of cost and energy, including losses due to plant shut down time and inefficiency of operation. One of the feasible solutions to solve out this problem is providing surface coating on boiler steel tube, which on one hand protects the tube from …

Mechanical and Micro-structural Properties of Friction Stir Welded Dissimilar Joints of Aluminium AlloysBy khushdeep goyal
Abstract: Abstract In this work, the microstructure and mechanical properties of friction stir welded dissimilar joints of 6101-to-6063 aluminium alloys were evaluated. Tool with round pin profile was fabricated of high speed steel material which was suitable for friction stir welding of aluminium alloys. Under monotonic tensile loading, an increase in the joint strength was observed with the increase in the tool rotational speed. The micro-hardness of friction stir zone increased …

Effect of Process Parameters on Material Removal Rate of Wire-Cut EDM of AISI EN 31 Tool SteelBy khushdeep goyal
Abstract: This paper is an attempt to find the effect of input process parameters on the material removal rate of WEDM of AISI EN 31 tool steel. The parameters taken for this study were pulse on time, pulse off time, peak current. The other process parameters like wire tension, servo voltage, wire feed rate, and spark gap voltage are kept constant. The experiment was designed using Taguchi’s L18 orthogonal array. The …

Current Status of Thermal Spray Coatings for High Temperature Corrosion Resistance of Boiler SteelBy khushdeep goyal
Abstract: In the thermal power plants, the conventional steels used in boilers are unable to sustain the hot corrosion issues. To reduce the problem of hot corrosion in the boilers, many types of surface coatings have been used in the recent past. Thermal spray techniques have been used to develop these coatings on the components of boilers. Thermal spray coating techniques are important means to develop coatings to increase the corrosion …
