Effect of Alloying Elements and Processing Parameters on Mechanical Properties of Austempered Ductile IronBy Jyoti Prakash Dhal, Amar Kumar Das, Ranjit Kumar Panda, S. C. Mishra, S. Sen
Abstract: In the present work, austempering is carried out for three different grades (Unalloyed, copper alloyed and Nickel alloyed) of ductile iron. After that the variation of mechanical properties (Hardness, Tensile strength and Elongation) and microstructure of the austempered ductile iron (ADI) with alloying elements (Copper and Nickel) and austempering process variables (austempering temperature and austempering time) were studied. It is found that, with increasing austempering time hardness, tensile strength and …

Processing and Dielectric Properties of Bio-fiber Reinforced Polymer Composite Using Brown Grass Flower BroomBy Jyoti Prakash Dhal, S. C. Mishra
Abstract: AbstractA novel low-cost polymer composite using brown grass flower broom reinforcement is prepared. From the physico-mechanical characterization, it is found that the prepared composite is lightweight and of high strength. Investigation of dielectric behavior of this polymer composite proves its efficiency as a high-value marketable product. As the composite is made using bio-materials from local resources, its cost is less as compared to other polymer composites available today. Keywords: polymer …

Investigation of Dielectric Properties of a Novel Hybrid Polymer Composite using Industrial and Bio-wasteBy Jyoti Prakash Dhal, S. C. Mishra
Abstract: AbstractFly ash is an industrial waste which creates environmental problems. Coir dust is a byproduct of coir fiber production. Novel low-cost hybrid polymer composite using coir dust and fly ash particle reinforcement is prepared. Investigation of dielectric behavior of this hybrid polymer composite proves its efficacy as a high-value marketable product. Individual compacts of coir dust, fly ash, coir dust and fly ash are also prepared for comparison with the …
