    Biosynthesis of Amino Acids

Abstract: In this study, details of amino acids are given. Amino acids join to other amino acids and form protein. They are the ‘building blocks’ of the body. An overview of amino acid biosynthesis is given by glucose. Biosynthesis of serine from 3-phosphoglycerate and subsequent conversion of serine into glycine is explained with the diagram. General properties of amino acids are also given in this study. Keywords: Amino acids, building blocks, …

A Case Study of Laryngeal Narrowing with Glossopharyngeal Neuritis in Insulin Dependent Diabetes Patient

Abstract: Neuritis is a very common complication met in with chronic diabetics. Commonly, peripheral nerves are involved but involvement of cranial nerves is not a common phenomenon. Involvement of cranial nerves or autonomic nerves may produce serious medical emergency that requires prompt management for life saving followed by long term control management. Such a case of insulin dependent diabetes mellitus with laryngeal narrowing and glossopharyngeal neuritis was met in a clinical …

    Prodrugs and Its Types

Abstract: In this study, description of prodrugs is given. Prodrugs are biologically inactive agents that upon biotransformation in vivo result in active drug molecules. Inactive prodrugs are pharmacologically inactive medications that are metabolized into an active form within the body. Depending upon the functional group, used to design the produrg, present in the parent drug, the pro drugs can be classified so many ways, which are given in this study. Keywords: …

Synthesis, Characterization and Pharmacological Evaluation of Amide Derivates of Prednisolone

Abstract: prodrugs. These novel prodrugs were also characterized with the help of usual analytical and spectral techniques (IR spectroscopy and NMR spectroscopy). These newly synthesized ester derivates of prodrugs were screened for their spectral techniques. All the above compounds showed significant anti-inflammatory effect at 50 mg/kg p.o. and the experimental data are statistically significant at p< 0.05 level. The pharmacological activities exhibited by synthesized novel compounds have confirmed that they may …
