Comparative Genomics of Heat Shock Protein in Pathogenic BacteriaBy Jenifer S.
Abstract: Genome comparison has recently become a common research topic in computer science. The development of computer-assisted mathematics (using products such as Mathematica or Matlab) has helped engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists to start operating in this domain, and a public collection of case studies and demonstrations is growing, ranging from whole genome comparisons to gene expression analysis. This has increased the introduction of different ideas, including concepts from systems and …

Variation in Extract Yield in Different Parts of Albizia lebbeckBy Priya S, Jenifer S.
Abstract: Phytochemical screening is an important step which leads to the isolation of new and novel compound. Solvent extract of the plant material with the help of different solvent such as n-hexane, chloroform, alcohol and aqueous revealed that in alcohol and aqueous solvent maximum extract yield obtained in all studied parts. Phytochemical screening analysis of the extract revealed presence of tannins, phenolics, flavonoids, alkaloids, terpenes and steroids in most parts. In …

Antibacterial Activity of Leaf and Flower Extract of Lablab purpureus against Clinical Isolates of Staphylococcus aureusBy JENIFER SOLOMON RAJAN, Jenifer S.
Abstract: The present study was undertaken to determine inhibitory activity of leaf and flower extracts of Lablab purpureus against clinical isolates of Staphylococcus aureus. Agar well diffusion assay was performed to determine antibacterial activity. Among extracts, the flower extract has shown marked inhibition of S. aureus isolates. It can be concluded that the leaf and flower extracts possess inhibitory components. The bioactive components present in the plant are to be separated …
