Abstract: The present paper studies the different meshing methods on the configuration of helical springs. Discussion on different meshing methods, number of elements and nodes generated by them have been studied and explained in detail. Parameters influencing the helical spring quality have also been explained. Effect of different material has also been studied to reduce the weight of the spring.
