Abstract: Implants derived from polymers have surfaced as adaptable substitutes for conventional metallic devices in cardiovascular and orthopedic treatments because of their adjustable mechanical characteristics, biocompatibility, radiolucency, and ability for surface alteration. This systematic review assesses the impact of polymer-based implants such as PEEK, UHMWPE, bioresorbable polymer scaffolds, and drug-eluting systems on outcomes reported by patients (PROs).
