Sustainable Development of Carbon–Sisal Reinforced Polyester Composites through Green NanotechnologyBy S. Meena, M. Chittaranjan, G. Ashwin Prabhu, Vijayan S., R.B. Senthilrajan, S. Karthick, Josan A., Pavadharini S.M.
Abstract: This study presents the sustainable development of carbon–sisal fiber reinforced polyester composites enhanced through green nanotechnology for improved mechanical performance and environmental compatibility. The hybrid composites were fabricated using varying fiber ratios - C1 (70% carbon, 30% sisal), C2 (60% carbon, 40% sisal), and C3 (50% carbon, 50% sisal) - with an optimized addition of 1 wt.% nano-silica (SiO2) synthesized via a green sol–gel route. The tensile, flexural, and impact …

Synergistic Effect of Green Nanofillers on Basalt–Kenaf Reinforced Sustainable Polymer CompositesBy V. Ravi Raj, M. Dharani, S. Karthick, G. Ashwin Prabhu, R.B. Senthilrajan, R. Karthikeyan, Jeriel Samuel J., Madhan Kumar D.
Abstract: This study examines the synergistic impact of green nanofillers on the mechanical and structural properties of basalt–kenaf fiber reinforced polyester composites, with the objective of developing sustainable, high-performance polymer materials. The composites were produced with different fiber ratios: B1 (70% basalt, 30% kenaf), B2 (60% basalt, 40% kenaf), and B3 (50% basalt, 50% kenaf), and were reinforced with 1 wt.% green-synthesized nano-TiO2, obtained using an eco-friendly sol–gel technique with plant …

Enhancing Mechanical Performance in Reinforced Hybrid Composites using Silicon Carbide and Aluminium Oxide FillersBy G. Ashwin Prabhu, G.M. Lionus Leo, Arun M., Karthick Rasu, K. Gnanasekaran, Ramesh Krishnan, Varun K.S., M. Veerakumaran
Abstract: Hybrid composites are becoming useful because they have better qualities than regular composites. This study examines the conventional properties of composites that utilise SiC and Al2O3 as filler components. Kevlar, S-glass, and sisal fibers at 90° and 0°, followed by additional layers of S-glass and Kevlar. To make sure that the material qualities were the same throughout, the resin and fibre layers were arranged in an alternating pattern. Mechanical testing …

Thermal and Electrical Performance of Aluminum-Reinforced GFRP CompositesBy G. Ashwin Prabhu, M. Babu, S. Prathap Singh, Jagadeesh Bommisetty, Ramya R., Vaddi Seshagiri Rao, Prithvi A., Mohammed Ziberel S.
Abstract: This work examines an economical approach to improve the thermal load protection of Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) composites, commonly utilized in aircraft constructions, pressure containers, and electrical insulators. Notwithstanding their superior mechanical capabilities, GFRP composites are susceptible to elevated temperatures and electrical currents, frequently resulting in considerable structural deterioration. The study introduces an innovative method employing aluminum reinforcement to enhance the thermal conductivity and protection of GFRP composite laminates. …

Mechanical and Sustainable Enhancement of Epoxy Composites using Tamarind Seed PowderBy G. Ashwin Prabhu, T. Vinod Kumar, Janarthanam Vijayanand, N. Sathishkumar, J.M. Babu, M. Nitheesh Kumar, V. Manoj Kanna
Abstract: The investigation examines how tamarind seed powder affects epoxy-based materials for the development of waste-based useful products. The research examines the mechanical behavior of epoxy resin composites which contain tamarind seed powder in increasing percentages spanning from 10% to 40%. The team utilized the hand layup method to produce the composites which then fulfilled the ASTM guidelines for specimen fabrication for mechanical tests. The study examined fundamental mechanical parameters by …

Mechanical Characterization of Kevlar 49 and Pina Fiber Hybrid CompositesBy G. Ashwin Prabhu, Frank Gladson T.S., D Srinivasan, J.M. Babu, K.M. Kumar, Antony Leo F., Kumanan T., Mohamed Arshath M.
Abstract: The pursuit of sustainable yet high-performance materials has accelerated research into hybrid composites that combine synthetic and natural fibers. This study investigates the fabrication and characterization of a Kevlar 49/Pina fiber hybrid composite using epoxy resin as the matrix. Kevlar 49, known for its exceptional tensile strength and energy absorption, was employed as the face sheet material, while Pina fiber, a biodegradable reinforcement extracted from pineapple leaves, was incorporated as …

Development and Assessment of Mechanical Characteristics in Sisal-Glass Fiber Reinforced Epoxy CompositesBy G. Ashwin Prabhu, S. Karuppaswamy, J. M. Babu, Shekar K, Vishnu S. Aher, S. Prathap Singh, R. Rangaraja, Antony Leo F., Deepak K., Aswin S
Abstract: In many different fields, including tensile strength, reduced thermal expansion, and an amazing strength-to-weight ratio, fiber-reinforced polymer composites are gradually replacing conventional materials. This work mostly addresses the development and evaluation of the mechanical characteristics of epoxy composites improved with glass fibers and sisal. Among the benefits are biodegradability, lower weight, and more specific strength. Sisal polymer composites are included under natural fiber composites. Including sisal strands into glass fiber-reinforced …
