  Abstract: Abstract: Alocasia macrorrhiza (L.) G. Don syn. Alocasia indica(L.) schott. is an important medicinal plant in tropical and subtropical regions of Asia and South America. Alocasia macrorrhiza (L.) G.Don is recommended in the Ayurvedic text for the prevention and treatment of inflammation, diseases of the abdomen and spleen, antimicrobial, anticancer, analgesic, hepatoprotective, hepatorenal, antioxidant and antifungal.
