  Abstract: Microplastics (> 5 mm size), are silently infiltrating ecosystems on a global scale. The persistence of microplastics in terrestrial and aquatic surroundingss poses a significant ecological and surroundings challenge. Thus, understanding and development of effective degradation mechanisms to mitigate the persistence of microplastics in the surroundings is required.
