Analysis of the Output Power in Offshore Bladeless Vibrational Wind Turbines

Abstract: This work focuses on studying and analyzing the power generation in offshore bladeless vibrational wind turbines. In previous work, we developed detailed research about the vibrational wind turbine design and configuration; in this new work, we analyze the energy supply from this type of turbine to achieve a better understanding of the behavior and potential of bladeless vibrational wind turbines (BVWT) as an additional power source in offshore wind farms. …

    Vibrational Wind Turbine Design

Abstract: This work focuses on the study and analysis of bladeless wind turbines (BWT) as an alternative to operating vertical-axis wind turbines (VAWT) and horizontal-axis wind turbines (HAWT). A mathematical analysis of the BWT oscillation under wind force allows the development of specific mathematical expressions for the oscillation speed and BWT mast displacement at any height. The oscillation movement is submitted to a Strouhal constant number condition, resulting in an algorithm …

Hydrogen Storage System for Household Installation

Abstract: In this work, we study domestic renewable energy installations using compressed gaseous hydrogen as a storage system. The article analyzes the suitability and feasibility of this installation type considering energy, technical, and security aspects. The proposed configuration represents an alternative to the classical storage energy system in batteries, reducing dependence on grid supply for a negative balance of self-power generation to energy consumption. The hydrogen storage system is valid for …

Control System for Off-Grid Multiple Hybrid Renewables

Abstract: This article focuses on designing a renewable energy control system for a household self-consumption network, combining solar and hydroelectric energy to meet the energy demand of a standard home. We conducted an exhaustive analysis of each energy source, evaluating parameters such as solar radiation, optimal tilt of photovoltaic panels, and conversion system efficiency. Equipment for this system is selected based on the characteristics obtained in the study. Hydroelectric energy is …

    Improved Marine Wind Farm Layout

Abstract: This work proposes a new marine wind farm layout. The new configuration is based on the hybridization of alternating lift-force and drag-force wind turbines. Lift-force wind turbines are characterized by a high output power and large dimensions, while drag-force wind turbines have moderate power output and reduced size. The proposed layout inserts the drag-force turbines in the free space the lift-force turbines leave, using the turbulent wind to generate power …
