    Abstract: Solanum tuberosum, commonly known as potato, belongs to the Solanaceae family. The whole part of potato plant including leaves, tuber, peels and their juice are used in traditional medicine. Several pharmacological activities of potato have been reported, i.e. antioxidant, antidiabetic, anticancer, antiallergy, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiobesity, antisepsis, anticonvulsant, fibrinolytic and antiplatelets activity.
