  Abstract: This paper studies the power-speed characteristics and the fundamentals of wind electrical systems along with the modeling of the various wind turbine structures and simulation of the same using MATLAB-SIMULINK. It deals with the vector control and modeling of the Doubly-Fed Induction Generator (DFIG), which can maintain the DC link voltage.
