Abstract: AbstractSix substituted chalcones have been synthesized by condensing benzaldehyde derivatives with acetophenone in dilute ethanolic sodium hydroxide solution at room temperature according to Claisen-Schmidt condensation. In addition, four of Schiff bases have been prepared via imine condensation between substituted benzaldehyde firstly with (3) 2-aminophenol, secondly, with phenylhydrazine.
