  Abstract: Risk evaluation of railway rolling stock failures by fatigue are enacted by failure mode, effects and criticality analysis (FMECA) technique. Studies are measurement, evaluation of reliability, availability and maintainability related to components of diesel loco engine. Failure investigations have included railway loco to diesel engine gear train consisting of crankshaft and camshaft gears in auto trucks.
