Comparison of Total Protein Content in the Muscles of Catla catla on Exposure to Ag and ZnO Nanoparticles and their Metal IonsBy A. Patel, A. Bahadur
Abstract: Growing applications of nanotechnology necessitates understanding of nanotoxicity. The toxicity of nanoparticles has gained special attraction amongst various toxicological studies, but restricted data are available on its toxic effects on aquatic organisms. An attempt has been made in present investigation to determine toxicity of NPs of Ag and ZnO and their metal ions to major carp catla. Protein content in muscle tissues of the fingerlings varied with concentration of the …

Variation in Activity of Lipase Immobilized on Chitosan and Alginate Nanoparticles by Changing Concentration of the Preparatory ReagentsBy H. Devnani, A. Bahadur
Abstract: Chitosan and alginate nanoparticles were prepared by ionic gelation method. The concentrations of each of the preparatory reagents (for chitosan: acetic acid, chitosan, sodium sulphate, glutaraldehyde and for alginate: calcium chloride, alginate, glutaraldehyde) were altered to check their consequences. Lipase was chemically crosslinked to these nanoparticles. Enzymatic assay was carried out for every alteration separately. To visualize the changes in each reagent at every step a precise table is incorporated …

Preparation of Lipase Loaded Chitosan Nanoparticles and its Estimation Using Different AdditivesBy H. Devnani, U. Dani, A. Bahadur
Abstract: Chitosan nanoparticles were prepared by ionic gelation technique and simultaneously entrapment of lipase was carried out in it. These were then subjected to additives such as surfactants, pluronics and ionic liquids. Activity of lipase was assayed in free as well as immobilized conditions. It was then compared to immobilized enzyme bound to these polymers. The results have been graphically displayed. Among surfactants, tween 80 and triton X-100 were used with …
