A Comparative Study of Plant Mediated Synthesis of Silver, Copper and Zinc Nanoparticles from Tiliacora acuminata (lam.) Hook. F. and Their Antibacterial Activity StudiesBy Vijayakumari J, T. Leon Stephan Raj, A. Antony Selvi, Raja Glenna, P. Raja
Abstract: Green synthesis of nanoparticles is becoming more and more popular due to its compensation over physical or chemical methods. This research was carried out to the synthesis of nanoparticles employing three different metals (silver nitrate, copper and zinc sulphate) using Tiliacora acuminata (family: Menispermaceae) fruit powder. The synthesized nanoparticles were characterized through the UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, FT-IR and X-Ray Diffraction studies. The antibacterial activity of nanoparticles was studied against disease causing …

Green Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles Using The Leaf Extract of Micrococca mercurialis. (L.) Benth. and Its Antibacterial ActivityBy Leon Stephan Raj, A. Antony Selvi, M. Antony Fency, P. Ramakrishnan, M. Vellakani, D. Vanila
Abstract: In the present study, fresh and powder leaf extracts of Micrococca mercurialis. (L.) Benth. were used for green synthesis of metallic silver nanoparticles (SNPs). The efficacy of SNPs was tested against some human and animal pathogens. Stable SNPs were formed after adding aqueous solution of 1 mM AgNO3 with the fresh and powder leaf extracts. Quantitative analysis of green synthesized SNP was monitored by UV-visible spectroscopy. Bacteriological tests were performed …
