Gain Enhanced 2.4 GHz Slotted Rectangular Microstrip Patch Antenna with FR-4 Epoxy Substrate
Abstract: Applications that use the Internet of Things (IoT) must be combined with wireless networking technologies. This makes it easy to get to the application data. The wireless communication system is a key part of the infrastructure for the Internet of Things. It acts as a bridge for two-way connections to gather data and send control messages. In this work, HFSS software is used to create a rectangular microstrip patch antenna …

Rectangular Micro Strip Patch Antenna Interconnected with Symmetrical Cut Hexagonal Shaped between Horizontal Lines Meta Material Structure Enhancement Bandwidth at 1.80 GHz
Abstract: This paper proposes a new generation of antenna that applies Metamaterial (MTM) properties at ground plane. The paper analyzes the performance of Microstrip Patch Antenna with and without using the MTM structure. Rectangular Microstrip Patch Antenna (RMPA) interconnected with symmetrical cut hexagonal shaped between horizontal lines MTM structure is proposed for enhancement of bandwidth and reduction of return loss at operating frequency of 1.80 GHz. The proposed antenna is designed …

RF Energy Harvesting from Wi-Fi Router in 2.45 GHz ISM Band
Abstract: In this paper, an experimental RF energy harvesting system using rectifying antenna (rectenna) to harvest ambient energy from Wi-Fi at 2.45 GHz is presented. The proposed circuit is a combination of RMPA, followed by a third order stepped impedance low-pass filter, matching network and rectifier using Schottky diode for microwave (RF) to DC conversion. The performance of the rectenna is simulated by electromagnetic simulator computer simulation technology (CST) microwave studio. …
