Abstract: This article brings to light some of the unresolved issues associated with bulk structural polycrystalline ceramic nanocomposites (both nano-particulate and nano-fibre reinforced), that even to-date suppress extensive commercial applications and realization of the full potency of the nano-reinforcements.
