Optimization of Characteristics of a Simple Microstrip Circular Patch Antenna using Rotable Slot
Abstract: In this paper, we have designed a simple circular patch antenna which radiates at 2.8 GHz. A slot is introduced and is rotated along the center axis. We have noticed that the frequency of the antenna is varied as a function of slot orientation. An optimal slot angle is determined based on the return loss and then the slot, patch dimensions are optimized to increase the realized gain and return …

E-Shaped Microstrip Patch Antenna for High Speed Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) Applications
Abstract: A microstrip antenna consisting of E-shape radiating patch having low profile, probe-fed is designed and proposed for wireless local area networks (WLAN) applications. All countries use different WLAN, as the antennas available are not able to cover all the standards. This study aims to design a smallest antenna with better polarization covering all high speed WLAN standards ranging from 4.47 to 5.82 GHz. The patch antenna designed on low cost …

Investigation of Square Monopole Antenna with Slotted Patch
Abstract: A novel antenna with slotted patch for L-Band applications is presented in this paper. The proposed antenna consists of a square patch with rectangular slot. By slotting of the patch the antenna shows enhancement of gain in allocated band. A rectangular slot in the patch and partial ground plane is used in this antenna to enhance return loss and bandwidth. The simulated results have shown that the designed antenna receives …

Performance Analysis of Rectangular Patch Antenna with EBG using Quarter Wave Feed Line and Coaxial Feed Line Methods for C-Band Radar Based Applications
Abstract: Microstrip antenna has various attractive features like light weight, low cost, easy fabrication, etc. Microstrip antenna can be fed in a variety of ways. This paper is focused on the enhancement of gain of the rectangular patch antenna with electromagnetic band gap structures at 7.5 GHZ for two different feeds and compares their results. The two types of feeds are coaxial line feed and quarter wave feed. Antenna design has …
