Lactoferrin: An Overview
Abstract: Lactoferrin (Lf) is an iron-binding glycoprotein synthesized predominantly in mammary glands of animals. Lf is majorly found in milk and colostrum of livestock and mouse. The presence of Lf in indigenous breeds of cattle has a significant role in exerting immunoprotection.
