Abstract

The overall design of a cheap, wireless cloud automation system is demonstrated in this project. The automation system based on Internet of Things (IoT) is proposed in this project. It makes this work capable of controlling more than one devices over the internet. A smart control firmware is evolved out of this work which accomplishes the mechanized performance of each connected device. The control commands given by operating personnel are optimised to the required level. A familiar open source platform for providing automation in IoT based projects is Node MCU, which is coupled here with the hardware system. The different required types of mechanization required for the desired control of connected devices is carried out by Node MCU. Using wireless platform, we technologize the access of remotely located devices via android cellular phone or desktops. To make the equipment access viable from any far location, we harness the cloud server based network. This will allow the customers to freely control the devices from any distance. For improving the data transmission, we furnish the system with a constant and continuous network connection. An economical, user-friendly interface is fabricated for authorizing the connected equipment which can be established in any building, offices or home. The android phone can be utilized for checking the on/off status or to modify the existing status of devices. The project can be applied for helping the elderly/disabled people too.
