Modeling and Simulation of Heat and Mass Exchanges in Refrigerated Compartment of a Truck
Abstract: This paper presents a numerical model to simulate, in dynamic regime, the heat and mass exchanges in refrigerated compartment of a truck coupled with its refrigeration machine. The model of the refrigerated compartment developed, is based on mass and energy balances of the air inside the compartment. Heat exchanges through the walls, including the thermal bridges, are calculated. Another sub-model determines the heat and humidity exchanges during the door openings. …

Vapor Compression Refrigeration System
Abstract: Refrigeration has been achieved in a variety of methods throughout history, but due to their efficiency anddurability, vapor-compression refrigeration systems (VCRS) have become the favored option. A vapor-compression refrigeration system, in essence, is a system that uses liquid refrigerant in a closed systemthat circulates it through four stages of compression and expansion, transforming it from liquid to vapor. As a result of this change, heat is either absorbed or ejected by …

Design and Development of Prototype of Air Cooling System for Truck Cabin using Heat from Engine Exhaust
Abstract: AbstractThe present work, the major spotlight is towards the design and development of a prototype of ai cooling system for the cabin of a truck c using waste heat from exhaust of an engine. From the literature review in the field of automobile air conditioning, it is observed that very less work has been done in the field of cabin cooling of transport trucks, which is crucial. The available options …
